Celebrating Eastside Legacy

San Antonio’s Eastside is steeped in cultural heritage, with deep African American, Latino, and Indigenous roots. As a longtime hub for art, activism, and innovation, the Eastside has stories that deserve permanent recognition. SAGE’s initiative installs commemorative markers throughout the community—honoring key individuals, events, and locations—while helping residents and visitors alike connect more deeply with the area’s legacy.
